Join Us On Sunday!
Plan A Visit!
We meet at Jonas Salk Elementary School, 7825 Flanders Dr, San Diego, CA 92126 in the multipurpose room next to the main parking lot on most Sundays @ 10:30am-noon.
Let us know you’re coming by planning a visit with us!
Coming to visit a church can be confusing. We want to help you through it. By letting us know that you’re coming we will have someone ready to greet you in the parking lot, save seats for you, explain to you the different aspects of the church, show you where the kids classrooms are and guide you through the check in process, introduce you to anybody you want to meet, and walk you through your entire visit.
What is a Sunday Worship Service like?
We’re hoping to do something pretty simple on a Sunday Worship Service. We just want to connect with God and connect with each other. We have smaller meetings during the week and we have larger events where we all get together, but this is our regular rhythm where we all connect with God as one big family. We believing that the gospel and specifically healing happens through connection. So join us in connecting with God together!
What happens on a typical Sunday?
A typical Sunday includes singing, announcements, a time of teaching from the Bible, some breakout groups and sharing. Everything is designed to help us connect with both God and with each other. If you do not wish to participate in any aspect of the service, you don’t need to. Everything is optional.
On some special Sundays we might have communion, which is a special time where we drink a bit of juice and eat a little wafer in order to remember Jesus. We might also have a sharing from a missionary or a visitor from another church.
What do the kids do?
The kids are included with the adult worship service through the singing and announcements, after which parents take their kids to their classrooms. There will be a specific break time where parents can take their kids to the classrooms. We have three classes, Preschool, K-1 (Kindergarten and 1st grade), and Elementary (2nd grade to 5th). If your child is in 6th grade or above, she/he is welcome to stay in the adult service. Every classroom will have two adults supervising and leading the kids.
The kids will typically do some coloring or crafts, play a game and hear a story from the Bible. We encourage kids to develop community with other kids and make relationships with not only the teacher, but also with the other children.
We recommend families arrive at 10:15am in order to register at the Kids Check In station. You can create an account ahead of time and preregister your kids to save time on Sunday by clicking here:
We love kids and we look forward to meeting them! We will prepare the teachers ahead of time to let them know your kids are coming if you plan a visit by filling out the form.
Is there a dress code?
We dress casually. You will see jeans, shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. Some people choose to wear slacks or a skirt, but please just come in whatever you’re comfortable wearing!
Where is the parking? Where is the entrance?
We meet at Jonas Salk Elementary School, 7825 Flanders Dr, San Diego, CA 92126 in the auditorium of the school which is in the front closest to the parking lot.
What is your COVID Policy?
We understand that everyone has different risk tolerance for COVID and we ask that everyone show each other understanding during this time. Currently masks are recommended, but optional. We highly encourage vaccination and all of our kids helpers and teachers are required to be vaccinated. See more on our COVID Policy here.
